Ready, Set , Shimi

  1. Load up water in the bottle and pre-measured formula in the stay-dry pod.
  2. When you’re ready, unscrew top from bottom and shimmy the formula into the water.
  3. Re-attach, give it a shake and you’re in business.

How to Remove the Pod

To remove the pod, align your thumbs with the divot on the back and press away from your body to pop it off. Avoid pulling upward, this makes the pod much harder to remove.

Compatible with Comotomo

We know not every nipple works for every baby, that’s why our bottle is compatible with all Comotomo nipples. Our bottle comes with a medium-flow nipple; if you need a different flow, we recommend purchasing Comotomo nipples at this time.

Safety Warnings

• Always use this product with adult supervision.
• Inspect before each use. Discard immediately if there are signs of damage, cracks, or weakness.
• Do not attempt to enlarge the nipple holes, as this can cause tearing.
• Keep all packaging materials out of reach of children.

Care & Cleaning

• Wash thoroughly before first use and after each use.
• For initial cleaning, rinse with hot water or wash on the top rack of the dishwasher.
• Dishwasher safe (top rack only).
• Avoid prolonged high-heat cycles or direct contact with heating elements.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.

What you need to know

What is the Shimi system made of?

All of our materials are selected for safety, durability and great performance at home and when you’re traveling with baby formula. Our bottle is crystal-clear, ultra-durable Tritan, which has been tested extensively for resistance to physical degradation and chemical leaching, even at high temperatures. Our secure formula pod and collar are made of BPA-free polypropylene. The Shimi nipple is food-grade silicone, free of BPA, PVC and phthalates.

Can Shimi go in the dishwasher and microwave?

Yes, the Shimi bottle, pod, collar and nipple can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher.

All parts of the Shimi system are microwave safe. However, prepared feeding bottles should not be heated in the microwave due to the risk of uneven heating and potentially harmful hot spots.

For best results, avoid prolonged exposure to high-heat sterilizer cycles or direct contact with heating elements.

How should I clean and sterilize my Shimi bottles ?

Easy cleaning is just one of the things that makes Shimi the best bottle for formula-fed babies. Shimi’s wide neck was specifically designed for easy washing and drying, with no cracks or crevices that could trap germs.

Before first use, disassemble and wash all parts in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. You should clean all components on the top rack of the dishwasher.

You may sterilize by boiling or using a microwave steam cleaner. For best results, avoid prolonged high-heat cycles and ensure parts are not in direct contact with heating elements. Always disassemble the bottle before sterilizing.

Is Shimi compatible with bottle warmers and sterilizers?

Shimi is compatible with most sterilizers and may fit in some bottle warmers. However,  we can’t guarantee that Shimi is compatible with all bottle warmers.

Can I use Shimi with breast milk?

Absolutely! Even though Shimi is the best bottle for formula fed babies, it works great for breast milk, too. Use it with breastmilk just as you would a traditional baby bottle.

How often does Shimi need to be replaced?

Depending on use and care, the Shimi system, like all baby bottles, should be replaced about every six months.
